Johnsonite Reclaims Jobsite Scrap

Johnsonite announces a new environmental program to help reduce its impact on landfill. The ReStart® Reclamation Programallows for uninstalled rubber, vinyl and linoleum tile-, sheet-, wall base-, accessory- and tread-cuttings, as well as excess uninstalled materials to be collected and returned to Johnsonite to be repurposed for other products or uses. What better way to reduce costs and save valuable landfill space!

Johnsonite’s flooring technology allows it to reuse, or redistribute for otheruse, nearly all of its pre-consumerflooring, wall base, accessories and tread scrap. Raw-material excess,scrap and off-spec product is currently captured and reused in the manufacturing process orrepurposedfor other uses. Now, that same capability also allows Johnsonite to reuse or repurpose uninstalled job site remnants.

Johnsonite makes it easy to recycle:

• The ReStart Specifications are written into the job specs for the end user
• The contractor contacts Johnsonite for a Return Authorization Number [RA#]
• Johnsonite sends an RA# and a ReStart Return Kit including instructions, large bags and banding materials for palletizing
• The contractor packages leftover Johnsonite materials and sends them back to Johnsonite

End users and contractorswho return materials under the program guidelines will be given a ReStart Certificate from Johnsonite stating how much was sent back, along with other appropriate information.
