SUMMARY
Ensure the accurate and timely completion and distribution of financial management reports including monthly financial statements, project status reports, and other reports as needed. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, including monthly journal entries, monthly reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers, monthly bank reconciliations, monthly accruals and reversals, fixed asset accounting, and monthly revenue recognition and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets. Publish monthly and yearly financial statements and other management reports as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
  • Prepares financial information as required for compliance reporting to various government agencies including ICE reports and SBA annual reporting.
  • Provides management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities within the Corporation.
  • Prepares financial analysis for project management.
NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Other duties as assigned by the subsidiary controller, corporate controller, and CFO.

Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; or five to ten years related experience and/or training.
  • Deltek Costpoint accounting system experience in a multi –company environment
  • Two (2) years of diversified accounting experience including project, government contracting and consolidated financial statements.
Preferred:
  • Minimum of ten (10) or more years of experience in the field.
  • CPA or CMA certificate (or imminent CPA/CMA candidates).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge and proficient in the usage of computers, especially Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to meet deadlines while multi- tasking.
  • Must be able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish your work.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
