FUEL PRICE REPORT NOVEMBER 2006
Crude oil has continued to trade ataround $59 a barrelthroughout October and early November. Pump prices have changed little since last month’s report, falling slightly as the last of earlier crude oil prices reductions fed through to the pumps.
Unleaded prices have fallen by 0.6p per litre (ppl) to 86.0ppl. Diesel prices have also fallen marginally,by 0.5ppl to 91.6ppl. The price difference between Unleaded and Diesel has risen to 5.6ppl,a small rise on October’s already record differential.
Northern Irelandand Wales both recorded the highest price for Unleaded at 86.7ppl with East Anglianext at 86.2ppl. The North Westcontinues to record the lowest price at 85.5ppl, followed by Scotlandand Yorkshire and Humbersideat 85.9ppl. Northern Ireland has recorded the highest Diesel prices at 92.6ppl, followed again byWalesat 92.2ppl. The North West again has the cheapest Diesel at 91.1ppl.
Supermarket prices for Unleaded have also fallen over the last four weeks to 84.5ppl. The gap between supermarket prices and the UK average for Unleadedhas fallen to 1.5ppl (last month the difference was 2.0ppl).
Overseas prices have also generally fallen in line with crude oil prices. The UK has the 5th highest Unleaded price in Europe.
