EVENT INFORMATION

- Entry is only permitted to Surfing GB members, you can join on

- Entry into multiple age divisions is permitted and full payment for each entered division. Competitors must be under age for division on 1st January 2015.

- Surfing GB will post a 7 day – 5 day – 3 day – 2 day forecast call for the event, updating you on Surfing GB’s Facebook. The event will be called on or postponed (conditions dependent) on Thursday 18th June via SGB Facebook.

- To enter fill in the form and return it to us with your entry fees (address below). The closing date for entry is 5pm on Wednesday 17th June. Applications may be limited depending on application numbers. Receipt of entry will not be provided due to the mass entry numbers: we will post the entry list on on Friday 19th April so please check and contact the organisers with any queries.

- We hold the right to cancel the event or change locations/format if conditions are deemed unsuitable or unforeseeable events occur that directly affect the running of the event.

- Payment should be made by cheque payable to Surfing GB and posted to Surfing GB, The Yard, Caen Street, Braunton, EX33 1AA. Please print and send your entry form with your cheque.

RIP CURL LEGAL RELEASE FORM

I……………………………………….……….(parent or guardian full name) authorise my child ……………………………………………….. (full name) to participate in the GROMSEARCH. I declare that my child is a valid Surfing GB member and is permitted to enter the event and that I will have an opportunity to inspect the contest site and assure myself that I am satisfied my child is capable of participating.

I hereby guarantee that my child is physically able to participle at the event and does not face any disease or disability that leads a doctor to prevent him from participating to the event. I undertake that my child will follow the instructions given by any member in charge of the organisation of the event.

I hereby clarify that I am understand that Surfing GB recommend obtaining personal accident cover for the event and assume the risk for any injuries that my child may sustain in connection with his/her participating in the Event and I hereby fully release and forever discharge RIP CURL EUROPE SAS, its subsidiaries, companies or joined organisations (together “RIP CURL”) from all claims, damages, actions, suits or judgements that may arise from any of injury of any kind that my child may sustain while participating in or attending the Event. I hereby forever undertake to guaranty, indemnify and hold harmless RIP CURL from any liability for any injury or death so sustained or/and sought. I agree that my child may be taken to hospital if needed.

I hereby assign to SURFING GB & RIP CURL and sponsors of the said Event all rights to the photographs, audio and video recordings or any other reproduction of the person of my child that may be recorded and/or created in the context of this Event (the “Rights”). The Rights shall be transferred to RIP CURL, exclusively and for a duration of 2 years, to enable RIP CURL to freely use, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, edit or publish and display by any other means my child’s image around the world, including extracts, via any form of media that is known or that may be discovered in the future, in particular radio, television, cable and satellite, Internet, mobile phone, films on any media and in any present or future formats (including but not limited to catalogues, press kits, derived objects...etc.), whether for sale or freely distributed, and unrestrictedly for advertising purposes in order to promote the sales of RIP CURL.

I further declare that I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its content. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and RIP CURL, and I sign this agreement of my own free will.

THE PRESENT DOCUMENT IS GOVERNED BY BRITISH LAW AND IS TO BE INTERPRETED IN ACCORDANCE WITH BRITISH LAW, ANY SUIT, ACTION, OR CLAIM RELATED TO ITS PERFORMANCE OR CONSTRUCTION WILL BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE BRITISH JUDICIAL SYSTEM WHICH SHALL HAVE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION WITH RESPECT.
