AT HARBOURSIDE HEALTH CENTRE,SWANSEA (SA1 8QY)

We have pleasure in offering the above opportunity for 4 - 6 sessions per week as a salaried position within our practice, with a view to increased sessions and / or to progress to Partnership. The vacancy is due to the impending retirement of our current

Senior Partner at the Centre.

The Practice takes part in the usual variety of enhanced services, and we also teach medical students from Swansea University. There are plenty of opportunities to extend your areas of interest, be it in teaching, minor surgery, chronic disease management, substance misuse or family planning. We also offer osteopathy and smoking cessation services to our patients in addition to usual clinics such as child surveillance, antenatal and chronic disease. We use a flexible appointment schedule, resulting in low house call visit rates.

Our current list size is 5000 and expanding. We currently have 3 Partners and a Salaried Doctor. Our IT system is EMIS Web. Our practice team consists of supportive, experienced practice staff with a sense of humour, 2 well trained Practice Nurses who you can rely on and 2 Health Care Assistants who are always eager to help.

Our main surgery is at the Beacon Centre within the SA1 Waterfront Area. Our branch surgery is at St David's, Winch Wen (SA1 7HT). The Beacon Centre is a new, purpose built centre which is home to a variety of health related services including Intake Teams for Health and Social Services, the District Nursing Hub, MCAS, Pain and Heart Failure Clinics, allowing us to work closely with our helpful colleagues.
