Application
Mike Miller was an advocate for education and served on the Aberdeen School Board for 15 years. He was the School Board President at the time of his death. He was elected to the South Dakota High School Activities Association. Mike was a member of the Aberdeen Police Reserves, as well as the Brown County Dive and Rescue team. He also volunteered for North Plains Hospice. Mike was the owner/operator of Shoe Science at the Lakewood Mall. He was an inspiration and encouragement to all who knew him.
One scholarshipof $300or more is funded annually by the Committed to the Community Mike Miller Endowment established by Mike Miller’s family and friends.
Eligibility
- Scholarships are limited to Aberdeen Central high school seniors
- No candidate shall be denied being recipient of a scholarship on the basis of race, creed, sex, religion, national origin, or any other basis which is prohibited by Section 501 (C) (3) of The Internal Revenue Code.

Application Deadline
Completed applications including theletter of recommendation must be postmarked no later than April 1,or hand delivered to the CHS Student Services Office no later than 4 p.m. on April 1. Applications postmarked after this date will not be considered.
