This morning Joseph Maryland will be making his public profession of faith.

Carleous Clay has been given a date of May 27 for his release. He is has been moved to Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility

After being hospitalized for treatment of an infection, Greg Turner was able to return home last Sunday.

Bill Holleman was able to return home last Friday after undergoing heart surgery. He is suffering side effects from the medication he is taking, but his condition is improving. He has been fitted with a Life Vest defibrillator.

Ellen Dykstra was scheduled to begin chemotherapy on Wednesday. Please pray for the effectiveness of this treatment.

We have been informed by Marcie Bottom, daughter of Goldie Garmany that Goldie will be continuing to receive therapy at Beecher Manor for a few more weeks.

John Krygsheld is doing well at home after a short stay in Munster hospital with back problems.

CHURCH NEWS

Next Sunday,April 12, we will be collecting food items for the Lansing Food Pantry.

The Oak Leaves, our monthly newsletter, is being distributed today. The congregation receives the Oak Leaves in their mailboxes. Visitors are invited to pick up a copy from the literature racks on the mailboxes in the annex.

The Council has scheduled a Congregational meeting for Wednesday April 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm. The meeting is for the purpose of selecting Council officers for the 2015-2018 term. The nominees for the office of Deacon are Tim Boer, Jim De Young, Adrian Dieleman, Dan Ipema, Greg Turner and Roy Vander Molen. The nominees for the office of Elder are Paul Beezhold, Tim Beezhold, Fred A. Colvin, Wayne Dykshorn, Roger Dykstra and Jack Wieringa.

Fusion meets on Sunday evening, April 12 at the Vermeer home. Rev. Bassam Madany, former Back to God Hour minister to the Arab-speaking world, will be making a presentation on Islam.

Young Peoples: Today is the last day to turn in your convention forms and money if you plan on attending convention this summer. Please give them to either Vicki Evers or Ellen Dykstra today if you have not already done so.Young Peoples meets Sunday evening, April 12 at the Dykstra’s. Snacks: Dale Huizenga & Ellen Dykstra.

There will be no Sunday School or Catechism today. Classes will resume on Sunday, April 12.

Plans are in the making for the annual church picnic this summer!!! Please reserve the date of Saturday, August 1, from 3pm until 8pm on your calendars for us! The Men of A-Chord is pleased to announce their annual “Night of Song”. The Night of Song concert will be on Saturday May 2, 2015.
