Discussion:
Bekki Haggerty is a nationally certified Histology technician with 20 years of industry experience. The Histology program is one of the largest in the nation with the highest success rate of 93% pass rate (the national average is 56%). Bekki is the 2010 recipient of the National Society of Histotechnology excellence in teaching award.
Jim Gordon is a Journeyman Electrician, with 43 years of field experience specializing in low voltage applications, such as Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, Card Access, and Closed Circuit TV. He teaches a Certificate Program as well as a Degree program that are approved by the State of Washington as a career path for students to obtain a Washington State Journeyman Electrical License. Jim also teaches Continuing Education Classes to existing Journeyman to assist them to keep their Licenses valid. In addition to his Industry related Certifications, Jim has also won the Pierce County WAVE “Outstanding Educator of the Year Award” twice.
Janet Holm is your College contact for tours, classroom presentations, along with the VIP Pass for Class program, which allows students to spend a day in a college program. She has been nationally recognized for the work she has done to promote Technical Education to students in Washington State. Janet will be conducting a general campus tour. Tour stops will include: Pharmacy Technician, Cosmetology, Esthetics Sciences, Auto Collision / Auto Technician.
