HOME DISHWASHING ASSIGNMENT
Dear Parents/Guardians/Student:
Each student is to complete this assignment over the next week. If your child is already helping with dishes (setting table, clearing table, washing, drying & putting away dishes) please check him/her off as he or she completes each of the following steps. If your child has little or no experience, please be sure to demonstrate the steps they need help with. The students have had a lesson on what my expectations are for washing dishes. They are also responsible for doing dishes at least once during the Foods & Nutrition Labs. As part of each foods lab includes clean up – it is my hope that not only will students become more efficient & effective in the lab clean-up, but will also take part in clean up chores at home.
Grade Six & Sevens please wash one set of dishes.
Grade Eights please wash two sets of dishes.

1. SET TABLE – wash table with hot soapy dish cloth, set table with appropriate equipment – including placemats, napkins, salt & pepper, glasses etc. RATE ______

3. WASHING DISHES - These are the steps we use at school please modify if necessary to suit your home.
