1 President’s Report
Dianne discussed the notes from last previous meeting these are addressed in the minutes below.
Dianne advised of the confirmed dates for Matt’s training date in October:
· 4 October High Jump
· 11 October Sprints/block starts
· 18 October Hurdles
· 28 October Long Jump
The training flyers are completed and being handed out to clubs, Dianne showed copy of the flyer to the committee.
2 Treasurers Report
Jeff reported to Dianne:
The ANZ bank account was currently sitting at $2080.90.
· $992.00 added from term deposit
· Affiliation fee due end September $400.00
· Trophies and Wiki subscription paid for.
· Uniform sales to go into the account of $95.00
· Signatories have been followed up.
3 BLAC Rego feedback
First session completed with Dianne and Jeff at Belconnen on September 7th.
Flyers placed in Rego bags and stand with information set up. Several athletes 13-14 were keen to know about being a DUAL athlete. The next session is September 14th.
4 NCGA portal
Dianne and Tanya reported that the IMG training with Ben Offereins to set up the membership portal was appreciated. Dianne has enhanced with pages that link to the Wiki page for athlete’s information. NCGA was only Club to have an active membership portal.
5 Bunnings BBQ
Two thirds of profit from BBQ this weekend will go to NCGA with the remainder to go to ACT Athletics for the ACT Combined Events. Dianne reported there was a full roster for the day and everything had been arranged.
6 Rebel Sport Credit
Currently $116.23 credit at Rebel, this will be converted into gift cards of $25 value for the athlete of the month program.
7 First Summer Series meet 8 October, NCGA table and Info
· NCGA info table to be set up at event with information on the club.
· Louise and Phillipa able to assist with Pole vault; Tanya throws and Dianne BBQ
· Dianne to arrange rosters for 8 and 14 Oct Summer Series.
· BBQ also to be held before the meet at 3pm for Louise, Katherine and Lauren to celebrate Paralympic/Olympic achievements. Dianne to follow up if all three athletes are able to attend, then invite club members.
8 Uniform Order
20 extra pieces of uniform have been ordered in various sizes and should arrive within four weeks. ACEIT have provided the quote – Dianne has approved.
Other business
Fundraising wine ready types that will be available:
· Rose
· Chardonnay
· Shiraz
· Classic white
· Possibly Sav Blanc
Brian to do a bottle count and advise of what could be used. Discussion also held in regards to having a wine tasting fundraiser in later in the summer season. Tanya mentioned the Scout Hall near Burgmann College may be a venue. Action: Tanya to contact Scout Hall and possibility of a wine tasting session being acceptable.
