Dear TPS Fine Arts Teachers,

The season to consider classroom grant funding is here!

As you know, each year the Assistance League® of Tulsa graciously makes available the Betty Bradstreet Assistance Fund grant competition for area Fine Arts Teachers. They havereleased their 2014 application via email to last years’ awardees and will do so in person to all Fine Arts Teachers at the September 18 TPS Arts Convocation. To ensure all Fine Arts Teachers have the application at the earliest possible date, the TPS Grant Development Office has attached the 2014 application to this letter.

The TPS Grant Development Office is here to help you, should you choose to apply.

TPS Internal Deadline: October 1 – Required for all applicants

  • Return the completed Grant Proposal Summary (including attached Detailed Budget) along with a completed Grant Application Approval Package to Room 413 in the Office of Federal Programs and Special Projects no later than 4:30pm on Wednesday, October 1.
  • The Office of Federal Programs and Special Projects will submit all applications to the Assistance League® of Tulsa at one time. Please disregard the deadline and submission information set out in the Assistance League® letter.

Grant Administration Procedures – Required for awardees

  • Pick up all ordered materials at the Education Service Center.
  • Schedule/conduct a classroom visit with the Assistance League® of Tulsa.
  • Submitcopies of TPS Talent Release Formsfor all student photos to the Assistance League® of Tulsa.
  • Credit the Assistance League® of Tulsa in all advertising and/or publicity.
  • Submit thank you notes to the Office of Federal Programs for delivery to the Assistance League® of Tulsa.

Application - Detailed Budget

  • No guarantee that every budget item will be funded.
  • Allowable costs: Any material or supply item (including software) costing less than $2,500 per item.
  • Prohibited costs: Salaries/Stipends, Scholarships, and Transportation.
  • Be as exact and detailed as possible; include quotes or pricing source where possible.
  • Be sure to include shipping and handling.
  • Do not exceed $2,500.

Application - Grant Proposal Summary

  • Must remain only one page.
  • Provide your best contact information – Assistance League® members will directly contact each awardee and they expect prompt responses to emails and phone calls.

Application - Brief Description of Project or Program

  • Be as specific as possible, but brief.
  • Budget for Proposal Program/Event.
  • Total Budget should reflect the entire cost of your project/program.
  • Amount Requested should reflect the portion of your Total Budget for which you are asking the Betty Bradstreet Assistance Fund to provide. (The Total Budget and Amount Requested may be the same if your entire project/program will be funded by the Betty Bradstreet Assistance Fund.)
  • Amount Requested (and Total Budget if the same) should match the total listed on your Detailed Budget.
