Slow Pitch State Championship
Tournament Rules
Rules: All games will be governed by the 2010 ASA Rule Book
unless otherwise noted. Note. Stealing is now allowed in Women’s Division
Uniforms: Must be alike in color. Pants and shorts may be mixed but
must be alike in color. Exposed sliding pants and
undershirts must also be same color. No plastic visors or
bandannas.
Game Time: Scheduled game time is forfeit time.
Format: Tournament will be a three (3) game guarantee format.
Time Limit: 60 Minute Time Limit in all games except
Championship and “If” games.
Run Rule: 20 after 3 innings (all games)
15 after 4 innings ( all games)
10 after 5 innings ( all games)
Line-ups: Line-ups are to be turned in to the official scorekeeper 10
minutes before game time. Line-ups must be on the official
line-up card that is provided.
Protests: Protests must comply with ASA Rule 9. Protests will be
decided prior to the next pitch. Umpire’s judgment is not
grounds for protest.
Home Team: Will be decided by a coin flip. Team listed on bottom of bracket will
use third base dugout. Team listed on top of bracket will use first base dugout.
Infield practice: No infield practice allowed on game fields.
Game Balls: Balls will be provided by Worth.
Bad Weather: Measures will be taken to ensure the completion of the
tournament. In the event that the tournament can not be
completed, Article 206 in the ASA Rule Book may
determine the order of finish. However, the goal will be to
complete the tournament in its entirety.
