GRAIGUENAMANAGH TIDY TOWNS
We are delighted to announce that Kilkenny District Court has granted us a Court licence to run G/T Jackpot. We hope to have our Jackpot started before the end of the month. This will take a few weeks to get up and running it and for it to bed down. The first beneficiary of G/T Jackpot will be CALVARY CEMETERY COMMITTEE and will cover the last weeks of July and the month of August.
We have supplied and erected the wrap around hanging baskets on The Quay. In the next few weeks we hope to erect colourful banners on the lamp standards there.
At the end of the summer we will replace the existing wire baskets on Fairview wall and replace them with bespoke wall planters which will again feature the motif window of Duiske Abbey.
Tidy Towns have taken out a loan with the Credit Union which must be paid back. G/T Jackpot will help to provide a revenue stream to fund this and on- going initiatives.

Competition Three – Bunting
Thank you all so much for all the entries last year. The town was looking super with all the colour and creativity displayed in the bunting. Design and make your own Bunting (template for triangle is on the back of this notice).
Up-style old material, stitch, knit, felt, embroider, patchwork, attach buttons, lace, ribbons, zips – there are endless possibilities. Use new or old materials to create a riot of colour. It’s all about imagination and creativity – something we are not short of here in Graiguenamanagh.
All entries can be dropped off at the Library before 4th August. No age limit!
The Bunting will be sewn together and put on display in the town for the Festival.
Town of Books Festival 25th 26th and 27th August 2017
Graiguenamanagh branch is adopting the ‘Advice & Self Service’model from 2nd August 2017. This is already in place in some locations nationwide. Advice & Self Service branches continue to provide customers with a comprehensive range of products and services, access to online and 365 phone services, the ability to lodge and withdraw cash from easy to use self-service machines. They also enable greater availability of branch staff to provide personalised financial and banking advice. Foreign currency exchange and coin transaction services will no longer be available in this branch from 2nd August 2017.
Our customers are rapidly changing the way they bank, just as they are changing the way they buy goods or services online and communicate with each other. Today, only 3% of our customers’ total transactions are conducted over the counter – 97% of all transactions take place through other channels. For example, every month, we have eight million interactions with our customers on our mobile app, whilst the use of credit and debit card and contactless banking continues to grow – consequently, demand for cheques, foreign currency and coin services continues to significantly reduce.
We continue to invest in and improve our customer offerings. Alongside our existing external lodgement device we have added an internet kiosk into the Graiguenamanagh branch, where customers will be able to conduct online banking within the branch. Implementation of these changes is taking place on a phased basis with a two-month period for comprehensive customer notification, and Bank of Ireland will be on hand to support our customers with these changes.
