Re: 2014 Swimming Pool Season
Dear Homeowners & Residents:
I am writing to you on behalf of the Board of Directors of Springfield Green Condominium regarding the upcoming pool season.
The Board of Directors is happy to announce that the pool will be opening on Saturday, May 24th, 2014.
Please note that weekday pool hours during the remainder of the school term will be different than those during summer vacation. Also note that pool privileges will be withheld from residents who are not current in their condominium assessments.
POOL SEASON OPENS: Saturday, May 24th
POOL SEASON CLOSES: Monday, September 1st
RESIDENT POOL PASSES
No one will be admitted into the pool area without a pool pass. Only permanent residents will receive a pool pass. To receive your pool pass, please read the Pool Rules & Regulations on the back of this page, and then fill out the enclosed 2014 Pool Pass Application and return to Capitol Property Management. This application must be signed indicating that:
1 - you have read the Pool Rules & Regulations, and agree to them, and
2 - that you release the Association from any liability for all persons noted on your application, and their guests and invitees.
GUEST ADMITTANCE
Each household will be permitted two guests, per visit to the pool and no Guest Passes will be issued. Guests must be accompanied by a permanent resident (18+ years of age).
2014 Pool Rules
The primary concern in the swimming pool operation at Springfield Green Condominium is the members’ safety and enjoyment. When the pool is open, a lifeguard will be on duty and in charge of the pool area. Your cooperation is requested regarding safety and consideration of other swimmers.
1. The pool is for use by Springfield Green residents and their authorized guests only. Residents and guests will only be admitted into the pool area if they have a pool pass.
2. Pool privileges will be withheld until your condominium assessment fee is current.
3. All residents and guests are asked to sign in when entering the pool facility. When signing in, please provide a phone number which can be used in the event of an emergency or illness, as well as your name, building number and unit.
4. All guests must be signed in by an adult resident (18 years or older).
5. Only pool passes issued by management will be accepted by the lifeguard. Pool passes are not transferable. Replacement pool passes cost $10.00 each.
6. The on-duty lifeguard has the authority to expel anyone from the pool area for misconduct, foul language, swearing, or failure to comply with these rules.
7. Children 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or older). The adult must remain with the child while the child is at the pool.
8. A child ranging from age 6 through 12 must satisfactorily demonstrate to the lifeguard his/her ability to swim. If the child fails the lifeguard test, he/she must be accompanied by an adult in the water, at all times. The adult must remain with the child while the child is at the pool facility.
9. Pets are not permitted in the pool and/or pool area.
10. According to Fairfax County regulations, no alcoholic beverages, food, glass or breakable items are permitted in the pool or pool area.
11. All radios are to be played quietly – not to be heard throughout the pool area. Radios only are permitted in the pool area.
12. The back gate to the pool must remain closed and locked at all times. No exceptions. Only the lifeguard and supervisors enter and leave the pool by the back gate.
13. All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
14. All trash must be placed in proper containers. Smokers, please use ashtrays.
15. Inflatable devices, such as rafts, air mattresses, etc., are not permitted.
16. Inflatable devices, such as balls, are permitted at the discretion of the lifeguard.
17. Diving, running, rough play, or excessive splashing is prohibited.
18. Owners, renters and guests with colds, open sores or other infections are not permitted in the pool.
19. The Springfield Green Condominium UOA, Capitol Property Management, and Commuity Pool Service, Inc will not be held responsible for injuries or accidents within the pool or pool area.
Failure to abide by any of the rules and regulations will result in all pool privileges being revoked immediately for the entire season and a $50.00 fine. THANK YOU
