Actions for PPG
  • Health awareness event
/ Brief discussion about the possibility of the PPG organising an event similar to that undertaken by Two Rivers PPG in May, focus on ‘ole age – what is out there for you’
Agreed to revisit this when there are more PPG members
New building - update / Plans to be submitted in September. Aim for opening in summer 2020
Collaborative working with Norwich Road
  • Shared On the Day service from 3.30pm
  • Shared home visit service
/ This is working well, with patients willing to be seen an either Practice. Relates to requests that come in after 3.30pm for same day appointments
This is being considered with a view to pooling the paramedic resources to be able to undertake visits for either Practice
E-Consult / This has been abandoned
PPG network meeting
  • 6pm – 8pm on Weds 6th September at Two Rivers Medical Centre
/ Noted, Carrol to let Gill know if she wishes to attend / CP
AOB
  • Increasing membership
  • Boundaries
/ Agreed that both parties should look to generate more interest in getting involved with the PPG
Application submitted to reduce the Practice’s boundary to alleviate the possible visit demand to specific parts of town. Rationale for this includes the need to use GP resources as affectively as possible – up to 6 patients can be seen in the Practice in the time that it takes to do one home visit. Existing patients who live outside the boundary would be retained until they move, then would be advised that they need to register elsewhere. All patients will have a choice of at least 2 Practices to be registered with. The Practice already responds to requests to remain when they move outside of the boundary and in exceptional circumstances are allowed to remain for a limited period, i.e. until treatment completed etc. Due consideration is given to such requests and an explanation given of decisions made. Gill will add a note to the next patient newsletter to advise patients. / CP/GL
