Dixon Summer School Rules and Guidelines
ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR SUMMER SCHOOL CREDIT – No exceptions.
Students who miss more than two class periods will not earn credit or receive a refund of registration fees. 3 tardies = 1 absence
Bus Information
The bus is only available to students who live in Dixon bus boundaries.
There will be an 8:30 am and 11:30 am bus for students in bus boundaries. Students who ride both the 8:30 and the 11:30 bus must be registered for classes during all 3 periods. Students who ride the bus may also choose to ride the bus one way and take less than 3 classes, however they must find alternate forms of transportation for the other way.
Bus routes and schedules can be found on Provo.edu towards the end of May.
Summer Dress Code
Shorts must reach mid-thigh while sitting down. Shirts must be long enough to cover the entire midriff and must not be low cut. Undergarments may not show. No tank tops, swimsuits, or hats allowed.
Behavior
Students are expected to follow and respect the rules.
-Be in class on time and ready to work when the bell rings
-Be prepared with pencils, papers, assignments, etc.
-Be respectful to others
-No swearing, rude gestures, or mean comments
-Listen to teachers and follow their directions
Campus
After school has ended for the day, students must walk home, have a ride from their parent/guardian, or ride the bust home. No loitering. Students getting rides are expected to be off school grounds no later than 12:00pm.
In order to help our custodial staff, the upstairs will be closed. Classes will be held downstairs only. Students are not allowed upstairs (including upstairs bathrooms).
Class Schedule
Classes may be added or dropped as needed depending on student registration numbers. If changes are made that interfere with your schedule, please let us know so we can try to work around it.
