Case Report

This is a group project. Each group with eight members chooses a real case and identifies managerial economics questions related to the case. In addition to addressing the details of the case during the presentation, each group is responsible for leading other classmates to discuss these related questions by applying the knowledge of managerial economics. Moreover, each group has to raise one managerial economic question related to the case. After the presentations, all students have to answer questions raised by all groups and submit the answers to me. Moreover, each group has to submit a written case report to me as well.

Example: The Ticket Fare Adjustment Policy of Taiwan High Speed Rail

Possible contents:

Introduction of Taiwan High Speed Rail Company

The old ticket fare policies

The current financial performance of the company

The new ticket fare policies

The related managerial economics questions

11/28: Submit the case topic.

12/22 & 12/29: Make case presentations. Each group has 30 minutes.

1/5: Submit the written care report and the file of answers to raised questions.
