RESOLUTION NO. 2015- 4456
A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR LAWN SERVICES RELATING TO THE CITY OF PELL CITY’S WEED ABATEMENT NUISANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Pell City has taken and received competitive sealed bids for the cutting and cleaning of properties declared nuisance in compliance with Ordinance No. 2015 - 4435, more particularly described in the exhibit attached hereto as Exhibit “A”; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest bid that met the specifications established by the City for the lawn serviceswas submitted by Southern Landscape Group, LLC in the amounts as follows: 0 – 15,000 sf @ $75.00; 15,000 – 30,000 sf @ $125.00; 30,000 – 45,000 sf @ $250.00; 45,000 – 60,000 sf @ $350.00 and 60,000 plus sf @ $450.00, as collectively detailed in the attached bid tabulation sheet, which is attached hereto as Exhibit “B” and expressly incorporated herein by reference; and
WHEREAS, this resolution will serve as a binding contract with Southern Landscape Group, LLC for the purpose of cutting and cleaning of properties declared nuisance in compliance with Ordinance No. 2015 – 4435; and
WHEREAS, the contract will remain in full force until December 31, 2015, unless the contractor is unable to perform such duties as described under the Scope of Services as outlined in the bid specifications; and
WHEREAS, the City reserves the right to extend the contract for an additional two years in one-year contracts; provided, however, that both parties agree to the extension, all the terms, conditions and specifications remain the same and such extension is approved by the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Pell City that the City awards the bid for the lawn services to Southern Landscape Group, LLC in the amounts as follows: 0 – 15,000 sf @ $75.00; 15,000 – 30,000 sf @ $125.00; 30,000 – 45,000 sf @ $250.00; 45,000 – 60,000 sf @ $350.00 and 60,000 plus sf @ $450.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEDthat the Mayor and City Manager be, and they hereby are, authorized to execute such documents as are necessary to begin the services approved herein.
