Job Summary: Manage the day to day operations of the marketplace, to include guest service, purchasing, displaying and ensuring accurate inventory of product.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Impress Guests! Greet all guests with a friendly welcome and a smile. Respond promptly to guest questions, complaints and requests.
2. Select, order, re-order and receive merchandise orders for store inventory.
3. Using the current inventory system, maintain accurate inventory counts, locate and correct inventory errors.
4. Proactively develop, implement and maintain processes to reduce inventory shortage.
5. Know markup and markdown procedures and pricing schedules.
6. Purchase products on a need basis while maintaining a balance between quality and cost.
7. Prepare and present all necessary reports such as month to date revenues and inventory status to the appropriate members of management.
8. Develop, administer and track progress of an effective guest service program for the gift shop area to include suggestive selling, merchandising and product knowledge.
9. Communicate effectively with all levels of the hotel team and guests.
10. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow employees and guests alike.
11. Maintain a positive and professional image for the hotel at all times when performing duties or representing the hotel and encourage others to do the same.
12. Perform all duties as required and other tasks as assigned
