4. Outlook: There are 26 runners on the 2012 Methacton Girls X-C Team and 10 are "new" to the HS X-C program (8 Freshman & 2 Soph.). This "new" running group makes for an exciting time for me as a Coach. It would appear that the League is chasing Boyertown, Perk Valley or OJ Roberts on the Girl's side. This year's Team will have to race their best to be in the hunt for a League title. This Team has practiced well and seems to be ready for the challenge of running cross-country this fall.

Head Coach- Paul Lepre
This is Coach Lepre’s third year as head football coach here at Methacton. Last year we were 6 and 5 overall and 5 and 4 in league.Methacton's first winning season since 2000. Captains this year are seniorsBrandonBossard QB, Jeremy Reid OT/LB, Cooper Given WR/SS, and Chris He OT/DE. Each of these players were selected by their teammates to represent the team. After starting the season with tough losses to Souderton, PV, and Phoenixville, we got on the board with our first win of the season this past Saturdaywith a 35-13 win overPJP II.Methacton played well in all aspects of the game, offense, defense and special teams. Good efforts were turned in by Devin Bradley, Jeremy Reid, Cooper Given, Kyle Lowery, BrandonBossard and the rest of the warriors. Coach Lepre feels like we have a team that will be very competitive in the PAC-10 this year. We will need leadership from our senior group and some underclassmen to step up and play well at the varsity level.

Methacton Golf:

The Varsity Golf Team finished in a three-way tie for first place. After tie-breaks were considered the team will be seeded third in the PAC-10 Final Four and play Spring-Ford. The team is led by Juniors: Brandon Vance, Mike Foley, Corey Betham, and Jeff Handwerk. Seniors David Mills and JohnMagagna have been consistent as well.
Individually we had three golfers qualify for district play: Brandon Vance, Mike Foley and David Mills. Also, Brandon Vance became the firstMethacton Golfer to win an Individual League title (PAC 10 or Suburban One). We are confident in our chances to make it back to the PAC 10 Finals and hopefully our Individual qualifiers will see great success at Districts.
Our season highlight was a team record 187 score against Owen J. Roberts two weeks ago.

4. With 12 returning Varsity players, and only 3 seniors on this year's team, Methacton's girls soccer team is a talented group of players having the rare combination of both youth and experience. After missing the District I playoffs last season for the Program's first time since 2004, the girls are confident of making a return to being one of the area's best teams. They also remain hopeful of making their first ever appearance in the PAC-10 "Final Four" playoffs in what is always a very competitive division. This will be the 15th Girls Soccer season in Methacton's history.
