Position Title: Senior Java Developer/Architect (SM3)

Job Summary: The incumbent will be involved in developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and computer/network operating system and other system software. The incumbent will have prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust requirements, code, test and implement proposed systems. Incumbent will be expected to work without technical oversight or to work as the leader of a team, as required. Incumbent may serve as a Work Order Manager or Back-up Work Order Manager.

Job Requirements:

Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables. Skill in presenting ideas and concepts effectively, strong problem solving skills. Ability to mentor others and to be self-managed.

Experience: Minimum eleven (11) years of professional experience. J2EE technologies such as Core Java, JSP, EJB, JDBC, JMS, WASD, Web sphere, RAD, and servlets. Experience with one or more Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), Zachman or TOGAF Frameworks. Experience with UML, Knowledge of design patterns. Experience delivering at least two SOA Enterprise-level Projects including at least one involving legacy systems. Experience with J2EE Framework/ORM such as Struts and Hibermate. Solid OOD/OOP foundation with experience in UML diagramming and design documentation. Strong XML processing experience such as XSD, XPath, XSL, XSLT, ETC. Database experience such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SQL and JDBC. Experience with JavaScript, HTML, SSL. Experience with complex programming, program debugging, data analysis, problem analysis and resolution issues within OO application systems.

Familiarly with project management frameworks, Rational Unified Process, CMM/CMMI, MS Project and Visio and with IT Governance frameworks.

Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
