(Part-Time Sacy’s Restaurant)

DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage Department GRADE: 9 ($8.15)

REPORTS TO: F&B Operations Manager STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the F&B Operations Manager, the position welcomes and seats all guests of the restaurant in a friendly and courteous manner, as well as performs all cash transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.  Provide fast and courteous service to all guests of the establishment.

2.  Greets guests in a friendly manner, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.

3.  Collects payment from customers.

4.  Enters all transactions into POS system.

5.  Make sure that the buffet board is done neatly and is accurate.

6.  Wraps and prepares silverware to par level as well as other assigned side work.

7.  Ensures that the guests are receiving prompt service at all times.

8.  Assumes responsibility for balancing all transactions at the end of each shift.

9.  Responds in a timely manner to room service calls and To Go orders and settles all billings through the POS system immediately.

10.  Assists other positions in the restaurant when needed and cooperates well with co-workers.

11.  Must punch in and out at the beginning and end of each shift using electronic time keeping system located by employee exits.

12.  Responsible for arriving to work station on time, wearing proper uniform.

13.  Provides exemplary customer service to all patrons of organizations.

14.  Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position’s essential functions.

15.  Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requires frequent to continual standing/walking, reaching, bending, and carrying items of up to 25 pounds.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1.  Must have a high school diploma or equivalent required.

2.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

3.  Six months in cashiering experience is desired.

4.  Prior experience in a guest service position strongly desired.

5.  Must have excellent communication skills and a friendly personality.

6.  Fast-paced customer service position, cash knowledge required.

7.  General knowledge of computers, prior use of POS system desired.

8.  Must have an excellent past work and attendance record.

9.  To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical categories of this position description.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position may be restricted to qualified applicants already working within the Department.
