This workshop is open to all acupuncturists & shiatsu practitioners & 3rd year acupuncture students. No prior knowledge of Japanese moxibustion is required.
Kinseikyu is adiscipline that helps to align the body in order to achieveimproved postural balance. The aim is toavoid injury and address musculoskeletal problems leading to pain.In Japanese, Kin means balance, seimeans posture and kyu means moxibustion. Kinseikyu is postural balance with moxibustion.Through this innovative approach, moxibustion is used tochange the physical structure.
Any practitioner who is concerned about patients who experience recurring problems with the same structural problems (eg back pain, joint pain, problems with range of movement) will find this approach clinically useful. It will also give you a global understanding of thebody and explain how dysfunction can occur.
The application of moxibustion, at key points of the body, will enable postural balance to be restored in a gentle and pleasant way.
Theseseminars willexpand your knowledge about theuse of moxibustion and enable you to hear and observe the body from a new perspective.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
- To learn about the theoretical and practical bases of the posture and Kinseikyu.
- To integrate moxibustion techniques for postural rebalancing.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To learn to applymoxibustion techniques and their sequential combinations.
- To understand the global and biomechanical functioning of the body and howdisease takes holdin the body.
- To learn to evaluate postural variations
- To learn to observe globally.
- To develop the basic technical skills to adapt them to each case.
- To understand limits, cautions and contraindications.

- Rolling basic moxa cones.
- Use of all the moxa tools.
- Palpation and location ofpoints.
- Understanding postural control parameters
- Observation skills - locally & globally.
- Clinical application of postural change.
