Abstract: These instructions provide you guidelines for preparing your paper for Kurdistan Journal of Applied Research (KJAR). Use this document as a template and as an instruction set. Please submit your manuscript through the online submission on the website. The abstract should consist of a single paragraph containing no more than 250-300 words. It should be a summary of the paper (Objective and approach) and not an introduction. The font-size must be 10pt, italic and bold

Keywords: A list of up to six keywords should immediately follow the abstract. The keywords separated by commas and ending with a period. The text should be single-spaced and fully justified throughout the manuscript. The font-size must be 10pt, not italic neither bold

1.INTRODUCTION

This document shows the required format and appearance of a manuscript prepared for KJAR journals. Formatting guidelines must be followed rigorously, since papers will not be typeset. Authors are advised to print this sample manuscript and use it as a reference while preparing their own paper, to ensure all guidelines are met.You must designate one author as the “corresponding author”. This is the author to whom proofs of the paper will be sent. Proofs are sent to the corresponding author only.

  • Authors: Authors must use their professional university Email, other emails will not be accepted (In case the university does not provide an Email so a Gmail account will be accepted)
  • Citation and referencing: the author must follow the IEEE style which is explained at the reference section.
  • English Authors are strongly encouraged to follow the principles of sound technical writing. In addition, good English usage is essential. Authors whose native language is not English may wish to collaborate with a colleague whose English skills are more advanced. A spell checker can be helpful to discover misspelled words such: Grammarly, but authors should also proofread their papers carefully prior to submission. Manuscripts that do not meet acceptable English standards or lack clarity may be rejected.
  • Font and formatting:Set your page as A4, width 8.27", height 11.69",you should use Times Roman for all the paper and margins as follows:
  • Left and right Margin 17.8 mm (0.7")
  • Top and bottom Margin – 17.8 mm (0.7")
  • Column Width (3.33") and Gap between Columns (0.5") 1.27cm.
  • Paragraph spacing: 1.0
  • Do not use indentation (empty space at the beginning of a line to signal the start of a new paragraph), if you wish to start new paragraph just skip a line

  1. LITERATURE REVIEW

This section allow the authors to describe the problematic proposed in this paper as well literature review regarding the discussed subject.

The structure of the paper is able to be different based on the type of the manuscript: Literature review, Study case, Letter.

  1. METHODS AND MATERIALS

This section must include a good technical information to allow the experiments to be repeated. The sources of all media (like name and location of manufacturer) or components of a new formulation must be provided.

  1. RESULTS

In this section, include the rationale or design of the experiments as well as the results; reserve interpretation of the results for the Discussion section. Present the results as precisely as possible.

  1. DISCUSSION

This section must provide an interpretation of the results in relation to previously published articles and to the experimental system at hand. It should not contain extensive repetition of the Results section or reiteration of the introduction.

5.1.Figures and Tables

Place illustrations (figures, tables, drawings, and photographs) throughout the paper at the places where they are first discussed in the text, rather than at the end of the paper. Number illustrations sequentially (but number tables separately). Place the illustration numbers and caption under the illustration in 9pt font. Do not allow illustrations to extend into the margins or the gap between columns (except 2-column illustrations may cross the gap). If your figure has two parts, include the labels “(a)” and “(b)”.

5.2.Tables

Do not use colorful tables unless if it is needed, make sure that the length of the table is equal to the length of the column. Place table titles above the tables.

Right / 18mm / 13m (0.51 in)

5.3.Equations

If you are using Word, use either the Microsoft Equation Editor or the MathType add-on ( for equations in your paper (Insert | Object | Create New | Microsoft Equation orMathType Equation). “Float over text” should not be selected. Number equations consecutively with equation numbers in parentheses flush with the right margin, as in (1). First use the equation editor to create the equation. Then select the “Equation” markup style. Press the tab key and write the equation number in parentheses.

4.CONCLUSION

This section should give a brief conclusion about the main points/discoveries discussed in the article in few lines. It should not be a repetition of the results. It may also emphasis the importance of the work and it is application.
