Date: Wednesday, September 21, 2016

R1, R2: Live from Media, PA, it’s News on the Lane.

R1: Good morning, I’m Sophia P.

R2: And I’m Parker K., reporting from the Rosemary Angelina Broadcast Center.

R1: Today is Wednesday, September 21, 2016. It is day 12 of the 12-day cycle.

R2: Our Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Mrs. Arbutina’s fifth grade class. Please stand, face the flag in your classroom, and put your right hand over your heart to recite the pledge.

R1: Please remain standing for a moment of silence.

R2: ((Count to 10))

Please join us in reciting the Bobcat Pledge. We pledge to:

Be ready, respectful and responsible.

Offer a helping hand.

Be a friend to everyone.

Care about feelings.

Accept differences.

Tell an adult.

Stand up for what is right.

R1: Please be seated for some news and announcements. ((Wait for camera person’s cue)) Today, the BIG story on the lane is the continuation of our Constitution Week celebration.

R2: Later in the broadcast, we will explain the three branches of government

R1: We have no birthdays to announce for today.

R2: But Mrs. Hatton is here to announce the remaining July birthdays.

R1: Thank you Mrs. Hatton

R1, R2: Happy birthday, everyone!!!

R2: Today after school, flu shots will be offered to any staff member who is interested in getting one.

R1: Now for our Constitution fact. As you know, our Constitution sets up our government and splits it into 3 parts.

R2: One part is the Congress which makes laws.

R1: The next part is the President who enforces the laws.

R2: And the last part is the Courts. The courts decide what the law means when there are questions.

R1: All of the parts have to work together and no part has too much power. Sharing the power helps protect all Americans.

R1: And now, here’s Rachel A. with today’s “Believe It or Not” fact. Rachel, what interesting fact have you found for us today?

R3: Thank you, Sophia. Today’s “Believe it or Not” fact is: There is no word in the English language that rhymes with month!

R2: That’s really interesting, Sophia.

R3: Parker, you can believe it or not.

R1: And now, our editorial reporter Brady H. is here with his report. Brady, what do you have for us today?

SR: Thanks, Sophia. (Read special report)

SR: Back to you, Parker.

R2: Thanks, Brady, for that special report.

R1, R2: For all crew members and special reporters,
