- International Career Development Conference in Nashville, TN for State Officer Training and support to CT DECA members at the opening session, award sessions (all of them), and the closing session—23-26-April 2016.
- CT State Officer Training with State Advisors— May 2016
- Fall Leadership Conference for CT DECA--October 2016.
- North Atlantic Region Conference in for officer training and attending all opening and closing sessions. Nov. 2016.
- CT State Officer Candidate Interviews and Slating--February 2017.
- CT State Career Development Conference,March 2017.
- International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA as voting delegates and support to CT DECA members at all opening, award sessions, and closing sessions—26 -29 April 2017.
attending all general sessions at any State and National Conference;
working as a team member within the executive council;
communicating with State Advisors (personally--no messages) if there is any reason the officer would not be able to attend any CT DECA sanctioned meetings, conferences, or functions;
communicating with State Advisors if I am unable to follow-through with any responsibilities assigned to my designated office or assigned responsibilities on the program of work; and
clearing all communications materials to be distributed to local chapters through the State Advisors prior to emailing or sending out any materials.
I understand that the lack of commitment on my part may lead to the elimination of my leadership role in CT DECA. If I unfortunately make an inappropriate choice in violation of my commitment, a State Advisor will provide a written warning. After three serious violations the State Advisor has the authority to eliminate my leadership position in CT DECA.

State Officer Candidate Agreement:
As a candidate for State Officer for CT DECA, I understand the responsibilities and requirements of holding office. If elected I will attend all meetings, conferences, and workshops called by the State DECA Advisor/ Associate Advisor and carry out the tasks assigned to me in the annual Program of Work. If I fail to meet these obligations, I will be in danger of forfeiting any given benefits of the office, which include, but are not limited to: any financial compensation, representing CT DECA at conferences, and the possible loss of the office itself. I will always act in a professional manner, approach all situations with a positive attitude and promote DECA with dignity.

Chapter Advisor Agreement:
As Chapter Advisor for the above-signed candidate, I understand the responsibilities that he/she will assume, if elected. I will support the activities of state office and CT DECA and will encourage him/her to perform at peek level at all times. I will do what is necessary should my assistance be needed so that this state officer can carry out his/her duties. If my state officer should fail to meet the above obligations, my chapter will forfeit the ability to run any state officer candidates for the upcoming year.
