  • Any Beta Member that was unable to attend yesterday's meeting needs to see Mrs. Gibbs today.Beta Information Sheet and membership fee needs to be turned in to Mrs. Gibbs by Friday, September 6.
  • ART CLUB: Applications are due todayFriday September the 1st. NO early applications will be accepted. I will accept forms on Friday morning.
  • Science Club-Forms to join Science Club are at the front desk. The first 30 students who bring in a form and money to Mrs. Lokey (Room 202) will be accepted.
  • INTERACT Anyone who could not attend yesterday's Interact meeting needs to come by Mrs. Hobbs's room to get the membership forms and to sign up to work in the Breakfast Rotary Fair Food Booth. This is for any current member and anyone interested in joining this year.
  • The History Club of WCMS begins its 3rd year as a club this school year. If you have an interest, please obtain an application from your history teacher or see Steve Hillis.
  • One of the best trips you will ever make is to our nation's capital, Washington, D.C. WCMS will be going to DC June 6-10, 2018. We will visit all the sights and then some. See Steve Hillis for more details.

The Washington, D.C. trip is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at WCMS. If you need information, please see Steve Hillis for details. We have had an excellent adventure each time and expect nothing less this time.

  • STUDENT COUNCIL is collecting phone books again. Please start bringing in those phone books, they may be turned in to Megan Harmon.The class that bringsin the most will earn an ice cream sandwich party. Home base teachers, please keep track of how many you haveturned in.
  • STUDENT COUNCIL: Teachers will be receiving a form to place their selections for Student Council. This form needs to be returned to Mrs. Scott’s mailbox by Friday, Sept. 8th. Students that were members last year, may return without a teacher recommendation.
  • Pep Club Cardscan be purchased through your homebase class for $2. These cards can be used at all WCMS home Ball games. If the gate is $5.00, you pay $2.00. If the gate is $3.00, you would pay $1.00

STUDENTS:

  • SELL YOUR FUNDRAISING ITEMS TO RAISE $50,000 FOR WCMS!!!!! If our goal is met, we will have a BMX bike show on the track!!The top 10 sellers get a limo ride around town with lunch at Pizza Hut!!
  • Students, we are needing help with the going gold event on Tuesday at the Gold Game. We need students willing to work the carnival style games. If you can volunteer, please go by Mrs. Riggs's room to sign up! You would need to be at the game from 5-8 on Tuesday.
  • The Going Gold Link Chain competition is almost over. Bring money in to buy links for your homebase chain for a quarter a piece today and Tuesday. Remember the longest chain wins a pizza party and all of that money goes straight to helping Jackson and Briggs!
  • Anyone that ordered a Going Gold shirt and has not paid, please bring your money Tuesday to Mrs. Riggs. If you have seen the shirts and would like one, you are in luck as we are placing one more order for shirts.Giver your money and size order to the Going Gold table at lunch today or Tuesday.
