Award of Competitive Contract for the Lease of Food Concession at Pleasant Valley Pool

to L.K.E. Catering Inc. for the 2015 Year with Four (4) Successive One (1) Year Renewal Options for the rental amount of $5,500.00 per year

WHEREAS, on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, the township received one (1) Competitive Contract for the Lease of Food Concession at Pleasant Valley Pool; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law, P.L.1999, c.440 (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq.), specifically, N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-4.1 et seq., the Township is permitted to utilize the competitive contracting process for the award of contracts for concessions; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4.4, the methodology for the awarding of competitive contracts is not solely based upon the proposal amount, but rather can be evaluated and ranked based upon a variety of criteria, which is set forth in the Request for Proposals; and

WHEREAS, L.K.E. Catering Inc., has complied and completed all criteria as requested of the competitive contract bid package; and

WHEREAS, it is the combined recommendation of the Director of Parks and Recreation and Purchasing Agent to award a contract to L.K.E Catering Inc, 1 Argonne Farm Drive, Bridgewater, NJ 08807; and

WHEREAS, as provided by Local Public Contract Law 40A:11-4.1 et seq; provides the competitive contracting process and pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A: 11-4.2, the contract award is for one year (1) which may be extended for four (4) additional one (1) year periods not to exceed five (5) years contingent upon satisfactory performance as recommended by the Director of Parks and Recreation.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Committee of the Township of Bernards, Somerset County, New Jersey that a competitive contract be awarded to: L.K.E Catering Inc, 1 Argonne Farm Drive, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Purchasing Agent, is hereby authorized to accept this proposal and issue a contract to: L.K.E Catering Inc, 1 Argonne Farm Drive, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
