COMPANION DOG GUARANTEE[1]
COMPANION DOG means this animal is sold as a pet rather than for breeding or show purposes. No warranties, guarantees, expressed or implied are made under this contract except as stated below:
1. REFUND: 100% of the purchase price, provided dog is returned to seller within 10 days of the purchase date.
2. The dog is purebred and pedigree is correct and given at time of sale. Dog is registerable with the AKC and will be registered by breeder as part of the purchase price.
3. This puppy is sold under Limited Non-Breedable Registration and can be changed to regular AKC registration only by the breeder of record. Limited registration means that this dog shall not be bred and that any offspring of this animal are not eligible for AKC registration. Dogs sold under limited registration can compete in all AKC-licensed events except breed competition (i.e. conformation) at an AKC-licensed dog show.
4. The health of this animal is guaranteed for four days through examination by a veterinarian at the expense of the buyer. If the dog is found to be of unsatisfactory health and written documentation of the condition is presented, the seller shall, provided the dog is returned, receive a 100% refund of the purchase price of the dog.
5. This animal has no known health problems. Up to date records of vaccinations, worming etc. will be provide with the sale of the animal.
6. This animal is guaranteed to be of good temperament at time of sale.
7. This animal is guaranteed to be free of hereditary crippling/disabling defects apparent by 30 months of age. Determination of what constitutes a hereditary defect is to be by the unanimous agreement of two (2) veterinarians agreeable to both parties. One of these vets is to be a tenured faculty member of an accredited University vet teaching hospital or Board Certified in the applicable specialty. In the case of suspected hip dysplasia, confirmation is required by the Orthopedic Foundation of America unless waived by seller. Cost of opinions are to be assumed by buyer. Choice of remedy is at buyers option at time of incidence.
Options
(a) 100% refund of purchase price if animal & registration papers are returned to breeder.
(b) Up to 50% of purchase price to go towards medical expenses related to treatment of condition & animal remains with buyer.
PURCHASE PRICE
Purchase price (please contact us for current rate) includes registration with AKC, HomeAgain microchip and registration with AKC Companion Animal Recovery. Puppies remain with breeder until 10 weeks of age and will have received the majority of their vaccinations. A $250 deposit due upon approval of buyer and availability of a puppy.
