The Plaza Visitor Parking Lot (“The Lot”) During Construction
March 10- March 21, 2014: Guest and Visitor parking will remain in its current location on the east side of “The Plaza”.
March 22- March 31, 2014 Spring Break: Guest and Visitor Parking as well as accessible parking will be available in the small driveway lot between the Campus School and the Math Building. A Campus Parking Ambassador will be stationed at this location to assist guests and visitors to campus with parking and directions/access to the Administration Building. Parking will be extremely limited during this time. The Project Managers (Campus Planning and Facilities Team) as well as the contractor is anticipating that the west portion of The Lot will be open on Monday, March 31, 2014. There may be delays based on weather or project needs. Transportation and Parking Services (TPS) is committed to provide designated visitor parking at all times. During this time we will not have a payment station available, this lot will be restricted to guest and visitors and those needing accessible parking spaces. Students, staff and faculty will be directed to parking in either of the garages.
March 31 – May 31, 2014 ? (Tentative dates based on construction and weather) Guest and visitor parking will be made available in the west portion of The Lot. A Parking Ambassador and parking booth will be placed at the entrance to The Lot. All vehicles will be stopped at this location and asked if they are a guest/visitor to campus. A portion of the lot will be available and will be set aside for guests and visitors to campus, and those in need of accessible parking. Any remaining parking spaces will be made available to students/staff/faculty for parking for $3.00 per hour. Students/staff/faculty will be encouraged to parking in one of the two parking garages at a rate of $1.50 per hour.
May – November 2014
The Plaza East Visitors Lot is tentatively planned to be under construction through November, limiting access to the lot. The guest and visitor entry will be enhanced with a new booth and new parking layout.
In June both portions of “The Plaza Lot” will be available, however additional construction on entry building to the east portion of the lot will be underway and may limit parking in this area at times. Additional updates will be issued to the campus during this time
The Plaza Visitor Lot, located on the east side of the plaza will have a booth and a Parking Ambassador to welcome visitors arriving to campus. This will remain an area reserved for guests and visitors, and if spaces allow as we do expect, the parking lot will have available parking to students, staff and faculty wanting to pay by the hour to park.
