§ Beau Monde brings a sophistication and elegance to our mosaic collections. This collection uses new techniques to create a mosaic style inspired by the ancient mosaic art form of Pietre Dura which created elaborate imagery using exquisitely cut and finely fitted stones. Beau Monde presents a fresh and updated graphic interpretation. The patterns are current and yet offer a timelessness yielding to the glamorous era of 1940’s Hollywood as ensconced in the names for each pattern.COLOR PALETTE
§ Extensive palette of natural stone including marble, limestone, travertine and onyx§ Most stones available in polished or honed finish (Please note that honed black marbles like Negro Marquina may show residue marks from the adhesive and could require buffing out after installation).

USAGE
§ Suitable for all indoor wall and flooring applications§ Outdoor use subject to stone used, climate, and method of installation

INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
§ Install per TCNA handbook for stone mosaics§ Sheeted repeat sections will fit together in an interlocking pattern
§ Patterns face mounted on clear Mylar sheets. This means nothing comes between the stone and adhesive to compromise the integrity of a secure bond
§ Can be installed using standard thinset application. Use white thinset for light or translucent stones
§ Test grout color for client approval. Non-sanded grout is recommended
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS
§ Mosaic can be ordered in interlocking repeat units or can be custom fitted to template or projects dimensions§ Field can also be fitted within borders at factory for perfectly balanced and centered installation
§ Recommended to sample custom colorways for client approval
§ Please note that honed black marbles like Negro Marquina may show residue marks from the adhesive and could require buffing out after installation
§ Please note that there is an up charge for honing, see SAP for costs associated with honing
VARIATION
§ All natural stones exhibit variation in color, hue and veining. Some stones will have minimal variation while others have a wide acceptable range. It is important to work with the studio to understand the range expected for each order and request a strike off for verification
