Position Title:Program Assistant – LVA/Hybrid Learning/Truancy Elimination Attendance

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Aid in the implementation and monitoring of Truancy Elimination Plans. Bilingual skills are essential for this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
All job functions are to be executed through the lens of high quality customer service. Customers are defined as both internal and external clients. Examples demonstrative of high quality service may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prompt responsiveness to inquiries;
- Professional and courteous verbal and nonverbal communication;
- Proactive problem solving.
- Collects and prepares accurate data for various statistical reports and studies; compiles, drafts, and types efficient and accurate business letters, reports, spreadsheets, and email communications, etc.
- Provides assiduous support related to the coordination, planning, execution, and follow-up for various types of events/activities. Prepares appropriate materials for and maintains accurate records of aforementioned events/activities.
- Supports the development, maintenance, and use of online learning (particularly for students with TEP’s), networking communities,and electronic document management systems/sites in a courteous and timely manner.
- Provides courteous level one technical support for students, families and mentors participating in the Lebanon Virtual Academy Program (particularly for students with TEP’s), as well as the LHS Hybrid Program.
- Monitor and maintain attendance records for students enrolled in the Lebanon Virtual Academy. This includes the creation and implementation of Truancy Elimination Plans for qualifying students.
- Maintain an efficient system of record retention and disposition.
- Maintains up-to-date technical skills to include, but not limited to: My Learning Plan, FileMaker Pro, virtual conferencing tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Establishes, sets up, and provides courteous first level support to participants in video/web conferences for all program/departmental meetings requiring the use of video/web conference technology and other emerging technologies. Additionally, proficient in the use of the Apple iPad and related software.
- Adheres to the established work schedule through regular and consistent attendance.
- Proactively works as a team member to solve/assist with problems, issues and opportunities and performs other duties as assigned.
- Communicate with students and families.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Marginal Function will vary with the specified assignment and depend on the particular unit function for which the person is responsible.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a high school diploma or GED and three years’ progressively responsible clerical and fiscal experience.
Excellent organization, interpersonal communication, business acumen, and time management skills are required, as is the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment and handle highly confidential information appropriately and with tact and diplomacy.
