MAIN PURPOSE OF POSITION: / The Social Media Officer assists the Marketing & Communications Director (MCD) in managing allthe CTF’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, to ensure that our audience is aware of and engaging with the CTF via a variety of online platforms.
TIME REQUIREMENT: / 2 hours per week.
OTHER: / The position is voluntary (unpaid) and will work remotely as the foundation does not have a physical office space. Communication with various foundation staff will be by email, Skype and phone with the position holder required to own and maintain their own reliable personal computer, telephone and internet access.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA /
- Experienced with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram at a professional level.
- Creative and passionate and have a vision about what is possible.
- Sound writing skills (for writing social media content and email correspondence)
- Excellent IT skills.
- The ability to work independently.
- Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
- Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort.
POSITION SUMMARY /
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications Director, and relevant sub-committee as required.
- Assist with the development of social media strategy and conduct implementation of strategy.
- Create/redevelop social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and You Tube).
- Update FB and Twitter re branding guidelines.
- Producing and publishingsharable content for social media channels.
- Writing content for newsletters, blogs and website.
- Helping to create picture galleries for social media sites.
- Creating and running contests on social media channels.
- Responding to social media fans, answering queries or questions from Twitter or Facebook.
- Maintaining up-to-date key messages and Q&A document that clearly identifies responses for different scenarios and escalation points as required.
- Social Media Monitoring and proactively identifying opportunities for posts and interactions.
- Social Media Engagement - increase brand visibility, engage customers, build relationships.
- Social Media Advertising (Facebook and Twitter Ads).
- Assist in carrying out marketing campaigns or other marketing related projects.
- Provide articles on events for the newsletter and website.
- Supporting the daily management of social media channels and monitoring tools (data extraction and reporting).
- Researching and using the latest and future online media innovations, tools and networks to drive our growth.
