Development
Lee contacted the boiler guy, but he has still not come back to him. Although there are no problems with the boiler at present. Lee will sort out someone to look at the boiler in order to improve the water pressure if possible. Need to let members know to please make sure the fans are switched on, if the fans are on the court floors do not get slippery, this reduces the humidity, particularly when matches/ competitions are on.
New court seems to be leaking through the roof near the left side of the front wall. Fraser to arrange someone to assess any damage. Possible that the main club might arrange for repair.
Soft spot on the floor in the male changing room has not got any worse, we will not do anything at this stage
A plasterer is needed to do some odd jobs, bits around the door. Lee to contact Tony initially.
Some notices are needed on the squash doors to remind members that we have handles, since this is causing the problems with the plaster coming off.
Juniors
Issue still with the key, Brian Cane still holds key which will need to be returned. In Derek’s absence no other issues were noted.
Membership
Membership for squash has now been reduced to £50 for the rest of the current year. Club membership is not reduced until October.
Leagues
Still at 40 players, extended for one extra week this time to allow for the holiday period.
Tournament
Draws for the club doubles and singles handicap tournaments are now posted.
AOB
Lee has resigned from the main committee. Neil will discuss with the club chairman whether another representative is required or whether Andy Duff can represent squash in his capacity as club Vice Chairman .
Only two teams in the winter, Darren Heathfield to be approached with a view to returning, no squash fee, just social fee.
Agreed to continue with the 2 monthly meetings.
