·  Daniel Britton, a graphic designer from Kent, England, who is dyslexic, created a font project to demonstrate to parents and teachers the frustrations of dyslexia and to raise awareness. Because dyslexia slows down the entire reading process, it can make reading stressful and aggravating. Britton devised a font to simulate what it’s like to have dyslexia. It doesn’t try to show what the text looks like to someone with dyslexia. Instead, the typeface is designed to slow down the reading speed of a person who doesn’t have dyslexia to that of a person who does have dyslexia. Britton’s project has drawn international attention and has gone viral online. ·  A sensory-friendly yoga class has been designed for people on the autism spectrum and their families. The breathing techniques taught in the class can help children calm down, cope, and be less self-conscious and anxious.
