Prayer / The meeting began on time with a prayer lead by Mic Pietrykowski

Minutes / TheFebruary minutes were approved
Father’s Update / -Alpha Continues – fascinating experience. Attendance approximately 50 for Tuesday Session and 50 for the Friday Session.
-Stewardship Assessment 3/22/17 – staff is aware and will be in attendance.
-Received report from LPI from Returned Pledge Card with Recommendation. Staff will review.
-Leadership 360o – Couple of email issues. 3/23 Father will receive feedback and 3/24 90 minute meeting to put plan together.
-3/10/17 Carlos – Institution of the Ministry of Lector – members of the Teaching Parish Committee Attended. Announcement and explanation will be put in the Bulletin. December 2017 anticipate Carlos will receive the Ministry of Acolyte.
-3/29 – Reconciliation Service at Queen of Apostles – 7PM after Stations of the Cross
-Vespers Sunday Evening 3/19 at 4:15PM
-3/16 at St. Monica’s Solemn Vespers and Evening Pray in anticipation of the ordination of the new Bishops
-Queen’s Ball – had a wonderful time.
-Holy Week and Easter will occur prior to our next PC meeting – Carlos will be available to assist
-Deacon Gene is getting help with ministry to visit the sick
-Next PC meeting will be postponed to Wednesday, April 26th at 6:30PM.
-July 1, 2017 is the 20th Anniversary of Queen of Apostles Parish. A Summer Celebration will be organized. Date to be set in the near future.
Commission/ Committee Reports / Lifelong Faith Formation (Christy/Kathy)
Christian Formation
  • Safeguarding God’s Children session for Middle School & High School Completed.
  • High school teens donated and served food at MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary in March. Will be going back April 28, chaperones needed.
  • 44youth (6 through 10th Grade) attending retreat at Carroll University on 3/18, hosted by WI Catholic Youth Rally
  • Confirmation Retreat held in February at Inspirio in Nashotah. 13 of 19 teens attended; remaining six attended other retreats through Inspirio.
  • “Social at the Seminary” with Carlos for high schoolers will be Saturday March 25th. Chaperones needed.
  • 130 women attended the Lenten Reflection that Magificat hosted.
Finance and Administration (Steve/Mike Hausman)
  • Reviewed Weekly Collections Report along with graphs provided by Mike H. We continue to collect more than budgeted (therefore, considered “Under Budget”)
  • Expenses for sound system ($3,000), lights ($4,000) and removing the wall behind the organ ($6,000) anticipated to be approximately $13,000
Human Concerns (Helena)
  • No February Meeting – nothing to report
Prayer and Worship (Cindy)
  • Have worked on announcements for prayer line. Has become more visible to parish.
  • Working on guidelines for readers, ushers, gift bearers
  • Server training during Lent. Saturday, 3/25 6PM – after 5PM Mass
  • Eucharistic Minister Webinars conducted by the Archdiocese – positive feedback from those who attended.
  • Palm Sunday – Sign up for Ministries; Palm Braiding will be offered
  • AED Training for Ushers to be prepared for Emergencies during Masses.
  • Next meeting, March 20th.
Stewardship and Volunteerism(Joanne and Dale)
  • March 22nd– Stewardship Evaluation with Barb Vite – looking to get a head count to provide Barb – with Staff, Pastoral Council, Finance Council members and other Ministry committee members participating, estimating 60
Youth and Young Adult (Lydia)
  • Mission Trip – Lydia only person from QOA attending with St. Roberts. Cost is $500/Teen. Need to be sure to indicate Sponsorship for Lydia so funds apply to her first. Excess Funds will be used for others attending. Need by 4/1.
Strategic Planning (Kris)
  • No update this month.
/ Discussion re St. Vincent DePaul (Mike H to reach out to Cindy Klopp to inquire whether she needs help)
Council Items / Parish Attendance Numbers – Discussed under Finance & Administration Report
Ongoing Items / Update on Feasibility Planning Committee – received materials from St. Anthony’s. John Schueller is in touch with Architects. Got a bid from 1 so far.
Update on Sale of Property & Proxy – For Sale Sign is up. Received an inquiry from the Pewaukee School District.
No General Questions to be addressed. However, item brought up by Helena regarding visiting people in homes; outreach to shut ins – are we reaching everyone who needs a visit? – we don’t know who needs assistance without being requested by parishioners, others, etc.
New Items / Google Doc set up for Ministry Booklet update – Joanne set it up and Helena and Mary Tannis currently actively using. Some were not able to get into Doc
2017-18 Pastoral Council Member Nomination Process to begin in May. A preliminary discussion was held. The number of terms that were coming to an end in Maywere defined and more discussion will take place at April's meeting. Kris Schroeder, Steve Szocs & Mic Pietrykowski will be on the Nomination Committee.. / Kris to Reach out to Joanne to gain access/invitation to Google Doc.
Parking Lot / Ministry Booklet – a description of QofA ministries, will utilize GoogleDocs so each ministry can update their respective descriptions
Website – How do we remove inappropriate reviews
Next Pastoral Council Meeting / Next Pastoral Council Meeting – Wednesday,April 26, 2017 – Grellinger Hall, 6:30 p.m.,Christy Rosenberger Prayer Leader
Cindy Klopp will attend the April PC Meeting to discuss the St. Vincent De Paul Ministry – Term is up with Milwaukee. Do we consider other, more local options for this important ministry within Queen of Apostles / Mike H will confirm Cindy K is available 4/26.
