DLNR DOCARE Emergency Light / Siren / Public Address Specifications
For medium size 4x4 patrol trucks
General:
The contractor shall furnish and install the specified equipment. All labor, shop supplies, and equipment shall be provided for a fully functional system on each truck at time of delivery.
Scope of work:
The installing subcontractor shall be in the State of Hawaii. Shall provide initial installation / programming of equipment. Post installation local warranty service on the aftermarket emergency lighting and siren equipment specified during the manufacturers printed warranty period for equipment installed. Installer shall meet with officer in charge prior to equipment installation to confirm lay-out, switch sequence, and programming. The installing subcontractor shall provide labor only and shop supplies for installation at same time the emergency lighting / siren system is being installed. The control head shall be in center lower portion of dash, and the radio remote amplifier in protected area within cab, allowing access for service if necessary.
Equipment Specifications:
Siren Amplifier and Switch Control
Whelen model HHS2200 Hand-Held Siren with 9 relays for switching, PA, and remote amplifier. The installer shall customize program to the Wecan program of the light bar and remote LED warning lights. Switch sequence and flash patterns shall be pursuant to officer in charge. The amplifier shall be installed in the interior rear cab of truck (protected) allowing access if service required. The wired remote Hand Held controller shall be placed on / in center OEM console with microphone clip bracket.
Siren Speaker and Bracket
Whelen model SA315P 100 watt composite speaker and Whelen model SAK1 bracket shall be installed under hood. Installer shall modify bracket as required, also allow clearance for approach angle of truck.
Emergency Light Bar
Whelen Legacy model GS8SP3J WeCan programmable. All Super-LED Diamond Optix modules which may be individually removed if necessary. Red/blue single color primary warning lights, four corners six diode modules, directional front six modules with six diodes, two modules with three diodes. Red/blue with duo color amber Traffic-Advisor rear inboard with six modules with six diodes, two modules with three diode. Two white front three diode take down lights in center, and two white three diode alley lights, one on each end. Outer lenses clear. Optional cost color filters are available if required by officer in charge at time of order. MKLP7 low profile permanent mounting kit for permanent mount on roof of truck cab. Installer shall program Wecan bar for use with custom switching by HHS2200 to utilize all required functions pursuant to officer in charge. LED module warranty shall be 5 years per manufacturers printed warranty.
Mid Level LED Warning Lights
Front:
Two (2) Whelen ION series Super-LED warning lights shall be installed in or on the front grille with necessary brackets. Shall be one each Whelen model WIONR (red) and one each Whelen model WIONB (blue). Switching pursuant to officer in charge.
Two (2) Whelen white LED Vertex series model VTX609C or VTX3609 as required to fit in OEM composite headlight assemblies. One on each side. Switching pursuant to officer in charge.
Rear:
Two (2) Whelen ION series white housing Super-LED warning lights shall be surface mount installed on the rear tail gate. Shall be one each Whelen model WIONSMWR (red) and one each Whelen model WIONSMWB (blue). Installer shall provide a water proof quick disconnect wire harness in the event the tail gate requires removal.
Two (2) Whelen white LED Vertex series model VTX609C or VTX3609 as required to fit in OEM rear back up light assemblies. Switching pursuant to officer in charge.
