Recommended Make-Up

Don't forget you can always make up at the Greenfield Sunrise Club. They neet Tuesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. at Cracker Barrel. Have a great breakfast, shop, get a make up, all in one trip and all before you even start your work day. What a great deal!
Try an Online Make-Up

Having trouble getting out to another club to make up a club meeting you missed? Try making up online! Go to the official Rotary eClub, read the rules on making up online, check out some programs, and fill out a makeup form. It's easy!

Rotary Pergola

New Rotary Pergola on the Pennsy Trail
Thank you to Steve Vail and his crew for your work on building the Rotary Pergola on the Pennsy Trail. We received this letter from the Parks Department:
The Parks Dept would like to thank the Greenfield Rotary for their donation and building of the new pergola on the Pennsy Trail about ¼ mile west of 150 West. Thanks also Jake Upfault, Eagle Boy Scout for getting the cement pad donated. Jake will also help with landscaping and building of a bench.
Great Job,

JA Biztown
Our club recently approved a$200 grant to Edien Elementery for kids in the Junior Achievement program to visit JA Biztown in Indianapolis. Here are some of the thank you letters from the students who attended, unedited for your reading pleasure. Enjoy!
Dear Rotary Club:
It was fun, we learned how to work and that it is not so easy. I hope you continue giving money to go to J.A. Biztown. It was hard to eat and shop in such a little time, so we found out what that is like. I learned how to write a check, a Deposit Slip, and how to record it. I also learned to save moeny. So once again thank you for your donation.
Sincerely,
Bryce
Dear Rotary Club,
Thank you for donating $ money so we can go to Biztown. Biztown was awesome! I have never been anywhere like it! it looked like a real town! I thought it would be like a one in thick peice of styrophome, but boy was I wrong. I was the photographer of the JA Journal. It was so much fun! Even though I had to take an induvidual pictue of every single little person in Biztown.
I learned how to write a check and how to open a savings account. I felt like a grown-up and had the most fun! I also found out how to record stuff in a check book and how to endorse a check!
I enjoyed every single part of JA Biztown and wish to go back!
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Megan
Dear Rotary Club,
Thank you for donating your time & money for us to go to JA Biztown. it was a great expierience for me to learn & have fun at the same time! I learned how hectic having a job could be. My job as a nonprofit director was a challenging and fun adventure! I also learned how to write checks and deposit slips, I felt just like an adult! :) It's going to be challenging being a grown-up, but because of The Rotary Club, we got to learn all of that before we get a job and have to buy things. So thank you so much, we couldn't of had that much fun without you! :)
Sincerely,
Melanie
Dear Rotary Club:
The Fifth Grade at my shcool was very fortuante to have you donate to our field trip. Our trip to Biztown was unbelievably fun. Honestly, I think tht the field trip was worth every penny of your donations. We learned about economics. We had jobs and everything! Just like in real life. I enjoyed everything.
Thankfully,
Clayton
Dear Rotary Club,
Thank you, Biztown was soooooo much fun. I'm so happy that you donated money so we could even go to Biztown. The shops were so neat and we got to use computers, and mail letters. I learned that running a buisness can be hard I'm just happy I got to experience it. Now I know how my parents feel when they get home from work. I enjoyed bieng there it was so much fun. Again thank you. Thank you for donating. God Bless You.
Sincerely,
Sarah
Dear Rotary Club:
It was super fun it was the best field trip I have ever had. I learned how hard it is to be in a job working. But it was pretty cool how wemade the things we were selling. I liked working on the computers and makeing pens that go on your shirt. And thank you for letting us all go there.
Sincerly,
John
I have to agree with Clayton: I think it was worth every pennyof our donationsjust to read these letters:)

Rotary Golf Outing
This year's Golf Outing will be held on June 9 at Hawk's Tail in Greenfield. If you have not already purchased one, hole sponsorships are $100. We are still looking for teams to play, so gather up you and 3 of your friends and come on out to play! Please see Ryan Pepperworth for more details.
Garden Tour
Preparations for the Garden Tour are underway. This year, the Garden Tour will take place on June 13. Each rotarian will be asked to sell 4 tickets this year, so make sure to pick those up at a club meeting in the coming weeks. It is important that we sell these tickets early, as this is a rain or shine event. We will need rotarians to be present at each location, so please see Dean Felker if you are interested in helping. See you there!
Rotary License Plate
Rotary is in danger of losing its license plate because it has not met the required 500 plates sold in any year. Please consider purchasing or renewing your plate for $25. You may obtain a plate application by clicking here.
