This guide will help you get started as you pray and meet with God....

On behalf of families

Station 1: Comfort

God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles . . .

2 Corinthians 1:3,4

Our Father is the great comforter so we have the assurance that He is willing and able to calm and soothe those trouble spots in our families. Take this moment to seek His sweet peace . . .

Father, I bring to you the troubles and difficulties that our family is experiencing. Would you bring Your loving embrace into the situation so that we can experience Your presence in the midst of the difficulties? In Jesus name, I ask this. Amen.

Station 2: Guidance

For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to the end.

Psalm 48:14

The Lord your God is waiting and ready to teach, direct, and lead both parents and children. Use the next moments to seek His direction in prayer . . .

Lord God, I seek the wisdom that comes from you in order to instruct my children well. Give old and young alike ears to hear with discernment and to walk in obedience. Amen.

Station 3: Provision

For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.

Isaiah 44:3

As the Lord provides water in the desert, He will provide all that you require, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual needs, the Lord will provide (Gen 22:14). .

Lord, will you bring refreshing upon our family as you meet each individual need? Provide for our financial, emotional, and physical well-being. I will give you all the thanks. Amen

Station 4: Healing

Jairus . . .came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house because his only daughter was dying.

Luke 8:41-42

The Lord Jesus healed the sick and dying, restoring their health. Often it was friends and family who sought His help on their behalf . . .

Lord Jesus, like this father, I come to you seeking Your healing touch for my loved one. Your touch can restore and heal in a moment what ails body, mind, or spirit. Amen.

Station 5: Hope

The promise is for you and your children and all who are far off.

Acts 2:39

Jesus has offered hope to all who seek Him. Take this opportunity and ask God to reveal His love to your family members who may be far off from Him . . .

Father God, thank you for the hope that you offer each of us through Your Son, Jesus. Soften hearts to accept Your saving grace and Your promise of the Holy Spirit. I ask this in the loving name of Jesus. Amen.

Station 6: Restoration

. . . while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

Luke 15:20

Many families today are fragmented and burdened with hurts and separation. Our God desires reconciliation and restoration. He wants our families to function in unity and oneness.

Heavenly Father, I bring before you each of my family members. In Your love and tenderness, Lord, would You restore relationships and throw Your arms around each of them. Amen.

Station 7: Consecration

Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. . . but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Joshua 24:15

Ask God to consecrate your family as you seek to serve and live for Him . . .

Our loving Father, I choose for my family that we will belong to You, that we will honor You with our words and actions, and show our love for You by loving each other for the sake of Your holy name. Amen.

At Cedarbrook Church, we value children and families. We hope your time on the trail helped you to bring your loved ones before God in prayer. As you leave and return to your daily life, may you be reminded throughout the day of Jesus words for you...

I am with you always.

Matthew 28:20

We hope you found this trail walk to be a time of refreshing for you. Please feel free to return as often as you would like. This trail is our gift to the community. Let your friends and family know that they are also welcome.
