Master’sThis research is being done under the supervision of Dr. John Schueller, Professor, Department

Thesisof Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of Florida.

The goal is to design an active above-knee prosthesis that can provide the amputee with volitional control using amplified myoelectric signals from the residual thigh. The synthesis of the linkages used in the knee mechanism and their motion analysis is the primary focus. It is proposed to integrate an optimized six-bar knee linkage mechanism with a multi-axial ankle-foot system.

UndergraduateA Thesis was submitted as a part of the Senior Year Project at the Department of Mechanical

ThesisEngineering, Government College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), India.

Project Funded by M/s Sharada Industries, MIDC, Pune, India

Design and Fabrication of Band-Saw Metal Cutting Machine

  • Formulation of Cutting Force Equations for Band-Saw Blade, using Dimensional Analysis
  • Design of Band-Saw Metal Cutting Machine and its Validation
  • Fabrication of the Machine and its Testing

The machine is presently being used at Sharada Industries, an auto component provider to TELCO India Ltd. It is a semi-automatic heavy-duty saw used for precision cutting of cast iron rods (10mm – 60 mm in diameter).
