Dear Editor/TV Writer:

In February, the world of gladiators continues as the Roman Republic’s most brutal fighters clash in the ultimate arena. Spartacus: Blood and Sand airs Fridays at 10:00 p.m. on Starz. The one-hour show is an entirely new vision of the ancient legend and will utilize virtual environments giving it a unique graphic novel look and style, along with a fresh narrative approach.

The Starz Saturday Premiere offers The Taking of Pelham 1, 2, 3 (2/20) starring Denzel Washington and John Travolta; and Year One (2/27) starring Jack Black and Michael Cera.

It may be Valentine’s Day, but Encore celebrates the loss of the football season with “Football Withdrawal Theater,” seven action-packed films you can huddle around: Enemy of the State, Rambo III, Point Break, Bad Boys, Broken Arrow, The Mummy Returns and Speed. The channel also has a spotlight on Goldie Hawn.

Westerns continues with “The Virginian,” “Have Gun-Will Travel, “Gunsmoke,” and a six-gun salute to Lee Marvin.

If you need additional information, art or descriptions of the films, please don’t hesitate to call. You can also find the highlights reports, press releases and high-resolution images for download on our press site at http://starz.mediaroom.com.

Sincerely,

Steve Waldo Belgard
