CATEGORIES/DOMAINS

Report numbers of students receiving Individual, Small Group Counseling/Guidance, Large Group Guidance and Classroom Guidance for one month. The computer will tally the total numbers of each column for you.

  1. Academic – report numbers of students receiving counseling services delivered by you targeting Academic Success. This includes, but is not limited to, study skills, test talks, test taking techniques and interpretation, decision making techniques, mentoring, SST/RTI/IEP participation, course selection, transition programs, meeting course requirements for graduation and promotion, credit checks, post secondary planning, financial aid and new student registration.
  2. Life Skills - report numbersof students receiving counseling services delivered by you targeting personal/social issues. This includes, but is not limited to, personal hygiene, SOS-Signs of Suicide program, Second Step, personal safety lessons, class meetings, bullying prevention, effective communication techniques, people skills, substance abuse prevention, pregnancy, teen parenting, family issues, diversity, and dealing with phobias.
  3. Career – report numbers of students receiving counseling services delivered by you targeting career awareness, career interest, aptitude and selection. This includes events such as Career Day, “Career Cruising” activities, “GAcollege411” activities, guest speakers from community including college representatives.
  4. Behavior Intervention – report numbers of students receiving counseling services delivered by you targeting improved school behavior. Interventions may include anger management control, remedial intervention, problem solving, conflict management, student mediation, behavioral contracts, time out arrangements, etc.
  5. Attendance Intervention – report numbers of students receiving counseling services delivered by you targeting improvement in school attendance. Interventions may include student attendance incentives and rewards programs, SARC participation, attendance contracts, counseling, parent education, etc.
  6. Drop Out Prevention – report numbers of students receiving counseling services delivered by you targeting staying in school. Interventions are not limited to, but may include, data disaggregation to identify and target at- risk students, awareness programs, guest speakers, rewards, personal interventions, mentoring.
  7. Other – report numbers of students receiving services from you in other school related activities such as Care Team activities, schedule changes, transcribing and student assessment.
