Project Manager (Pharma & Chemical Industry)

This company has recently established a new entity in Charlotte, NC and is actively looking for a Project Manager to lead all Process Automation projects in the US.

The Project Manager has an entrepreneurial profile with outstanding interpersonal skills to lead a team of engineers and be responsible for the implementation, of process automation software and system and MES solutions.

Job Description:

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity for a highly energetic and motivated individual with a solid engineering background to lead projects successfully from creation to completion.

Responsibilities: Work in close collaboration with the BU Manage | Design quote automation and MES solutions| Design, organisation, planning and management of teams and projects | Selection, evaluation, negotiation and technical audits of suppliers

Design projects planning, functional specifications and performance|Manage projects including quotes, budget, suppliers, receipts, technical score, deliveries and quality records (IQ, OQ, PQ) | Design the control system architecture of projects (software and hardware) | Coordinate and monitor all project teams both internally & at customers’ locations | Lead a team of 4-5 highly technical engineers with weekly progress meetings  Manage projects’ risks, customers’ complaints and continuous improvement | Communicate effectively with staff, contractors, vendors and management level | Read and interpret a variety of documents such as customer RFQ , process technical and engineering data. | Solve practical issues | Prioritize when working on multiple assignments and projects concurrently | Apply computer skills, mathematical formulae and engineering rules during risk assessments and validation activities.

Desired Skills and Experience: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Automation, IT or equivalent | 7 to 10 years relevant work experience in Automation processes and/or MES – Manufacturing Execution Systems in Biotech, Pharma or Chemical industry | Proven experience in leading teams to manage projects up to $500k+ | Strong knowledge of PLCs and HMI programming (Siemens, Rockwell, Emerson)  Full understanding of Batch processes for Pharma (S88 & S95 standards)as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and FDA requirements | Proven track record of implementing process automation and control systems | Analytical, problem-solver, loyal, independent and hands-on | Leader with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills | Fluent in English| French or German a plus
