FIBO INNOVATION & TREND Award with new concept
Application period starts now – submissions accepted through 31 January 2018
Fitness and innovation – at FIBO, they go hand in hand. That’s why, from 12 to 15 April 2018, tens of thousands of fitness, wellness and healthcare professionals will once again travel to Cologne from every corner of the globe to get themselves in shape for the current business year at FIBO. The industry’s most innovative new products will be recognised with the FIBO INNOVATION & TREND Award – this time in five new categories that will be even more closely aligned with the needs of the sector.
“Each category represents a key trend topic of the market”, says FIBO director Silke Frank. “That’s because we want the European award of the fitness, wellness and health industry to propel and promote the continued development of the sector.” Innovative products and concepts can now be submitted in these categories: 1. Digital Fitness. 2. Health / Prevention. 3. Lifestyle / Life Balance / Wellness. 4. Performance / Capabilities and 5. Start-up.
New: International jury of experts
In 2018, the quality of the submissions will be judged by an international jury of experts. Its members include Nathalie Smeeman, executive director of the European industry association EuropeActive; Prof. Dr. Niels Nagel, office manager of the DIFG; Prof. Dr. Ingo Froboese, university professor for prevention and rehabilitation at the German Sport University Cologne; Heike Schönegge, editor of the magazine FIT FOR FUN; and Prof. Dr. Thomas Rieger, founding dean of the Sports, Media & Event Faculty at the University of Applied Sciences Europe. They’ll evaluate submission on the basis of the new criteria: innovation, health, motivation, quality, design and functionality.
How to participate
Companies, startups and concept developers have until 31 January 2018 to submit their products and concepts. The five award winners will be honoured in front of an audience of about 400 leading industry professionals from across Europe at the 5th European Health and Fitness Forum on 11 April. The FIBO INNOVATION & TREND Award is presented by the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health in cooperation with DIFG, the German Industry Association for Fitness and Health. The magazine FIT FOR FUN serves as the official media partner.
