  • Student presentations will be 30-40 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion/questions and 10 minutes for faculty evaluations.
  • Evaluation: the presentation will be evaluated by two faculty members from the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. After the presentation, the evaluators will meet with the presenter to discuss the scientific merit and presentation style.
  • The student’s mentor is required to be at their presentation, and arrangements are to be made by the student. If there is a conflict in scheduling for the mentor or student, presentation dates may be exchanged between students. Please contact the course director with conflicts and exchanges.
  • The moderator will introduce the speaker before the presentation, lead the discussion, and control the timing of the presentation.
  • Students are required to attend every class, which is verified by the sign in sheet. For excusable absences, i.e. sickness, family issues, or scientific conferences, the student is responsible for informing the course director and their mentor prior to the seminar. This should be done with an e-mail to the course director with a CC to their mentor. For unexcused absences, the student should discuss the situation with the course director to work out a solution.
  • Grades are given based on student attendance, the quality of presentation, and their participation in class discussions.
  • Course director information:
