Annual Meeting

1.  TCRC President, Tom Carter, called the meeting to order at 7: 15 pm and welcomed everyone.

2.  Grand Prix Discussion

a)  Marathon limitation was discussed. Most people felt that any marathon should qualify for the Grand Prix. The motion was made, seconded, voted on and passed. Any marathon will qualify for the Grand Prix.

b)  Participation - Everyone agreed that participation in the Grand Prix was greater in 2004.

c)  Communication – Marathon results must be communicated to Greg Amend for Grand Prix scoring.

3.  TCRC Dinner - Comments:

a)  Everyone seemed to like The McKinley.

b)  Some felt that the food was better at Endwell Greens.

c)  The McKinley staff was very accommodating.

d)  Everyone liked the beer and coffee mugs.

e)  How to get more people? Perhaps advertise it more during the racing season or put a reminder on some race applications.

f)  The date for the 2006 dinner is Feb. 18 at The McKinley.

4.  The Mountain Goat - 10 mile race in Syracuse, May 1. Grace Tabeek received information on the race and a possible challenge between running clubs. If people are interested in getting a team together, they may contact Grace.

5.  Some local races may not continue in the future. TCRC may consider creating new races and new sites.

6.  Volunteers Needed - St. Pat’s 4 Mile and Forks XV

7.  Elections - Three Board seats were open.

a)  Tom Carter, Dan Dougherty, and Vince Kelley all ran again.

b)  All four officers, Tom Carter, George Joseph, Debbie Grassi, and Kevin Pasterchik, ran again.

c)  A motion was made to cast one vote to reinstate all positions. It was seconded, voted on, and passed.

8.  The meeting was adjourned.
