economic NOTEBOOK explained

Notebooks are a compilation of all your work and should be viewed as both a portfolio and a study guide. The work in it should be neat, legible, and correct. Every 2-3 weeks will we take a test, (you should use your notebook to studyfor it or you will use it to take the test) and then you will turn it in to me for a grade. I will be grading them on correctness and completionas well as neatness.

NOTEBOOK ORGANIZATION – There are rules that need to be followed when organizing your notebook.

  • Your first page in the notebook will be your cover page. It will include 1) your name,

2) the class name, 3) the class period.

  • The second and thirdpages will be your Course Syllabus pages
  • The fourth page will be Remind instructions
  • The fifth page in the notebook will bethis Notebook Explanation page.
  • The sixth page in the notebook is blank.
  • Theseventh page of your notebook will be your Unit Cover. The unit cover will be the first page of each Unit. Unit covers will always go on a right hand page. It must have:
  • The unit number
  • The unit name
  • Adrawing showing what the unit was about
  • The drawing and the title info must be in color
  • The second page of each Unit will be the Daily Assignmentspage.
  • You will need a column for date and a column for assignment

  • The third page of each Unitwill be a Table of Contents.
  • Each page in the unit will be numbered (upper outside corners).
  • Every page will be listed in the table of contents.
  • If a page is blank then it is still numbered and listed but the Contents column is left blank.

WHETHER SOMETHING GOES ON A RIGHT OR A LEFT PAGE MATTERS

THIS IS HOW YOUR NOTEBOOK IS ORGANIZED:

  • All notes/information whether off the overhead or from your reading, including handouts and vocabulary definitions, will go on a RIGHT-HAND page.
  • All of your work in application, response, or evaluation of your learning will go on a LEFT-HAND page. This could include worksheets, reading & discussion questions, etc.
