Land of Band
Kennedy Field Tournament
Thanks for another great day of Marching Band! I appreciate everyone’s attentiveness and work ethic at our rehearsal in the morning. It helped set us up for a great performance that evening. As a staff, we were very proud of this performance. However, we still have lots to do with this show to make it even better. Please be prepared to work this week.

FOOD COMMITTEE!

Thank you all who helped set up, prep, serve, and clean up at Kennedy Field Tournament. MIB, you guys are amazing! We couldn't do it without you. We were able to feed our students and staff with a good meal in a timely manner. It was so much fun, and such a blessing to work with all of you! Our next event is serving Concessions for the District Band PageantNovember 1, so please help us out in which ever way possible, as it greatly benefits our band program. Look for details to come.

Our next Field Tournament to serve food will be Mira Mesa onNov. 4. We will be asking for dessert donations (2 dozen home made, if possible, hand held desserts in disposable containers) from students with last names beginning with the letter "J -Ma." POST EVENT STUDENT PICKUP GUIDELINES
Well, mostparents adhered to the below guidelines this weekend - let's try for
100% compliance for pickup after the football game on Friday night!!
Parents, please DO NOT PARK along the schoolside curb (the curb nearest the marquis) in front of the school after events. The buses park in this area when returning from events so students can be unloaded safely at the curb. If any vehicles are in the bus drop-off zone, they will be asked to move.
If you do prefer to park at the front of the school, you can park in any available spaces in the small front lot and the larger teacher lot at the south side of the school entrance or on the curb closest to Valencia Avenue to the north of school entrance. Many students also meet their parents in the back parking lot near the tennis courts.
Thanks for your help in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of your students back to school after events!

FAIR SHARE CONTRIBUTION REMINDER
As we progress through the season and the band becomes more and more involved with the program activities, more and more expenses are coming due. If you have not yet already done so, please contribute the $575 per student fair-share donation. Payment plans are available if the entire contribution cannot be made at one time. Please email our financial secretary o let her know your plan. If your student has purchased any uniform items, please be sure to send payment for those as well: shoes - $34, shorts - $10, gloves - $6. Please ith any questions or concerns as well. Thank you for your support.
