V.  Grading

All grades will be posted on SKYWARD and both students and parents will have access to their grades at all times.

Assignments are due at the beginning of the class period on the day the instructor assigns. If a student does not have their work ready to be turned in, they will lose ten percent of the potential points for every day it is late.

VI.  Absences and Make Up Work

Students should refrain from missing class, unless necessary. Each day, material will be covered and it is difficult to catch up. In compliance with the Loudon High School policy, any student having nine or more absences will be placed in the Time for Time program with Mrs. Martin.

Make up work is the responsibility of the student. Upon returning to school after an absence, the student is expected to ask the instructor what needs to be made up. As outlined in the Loudon School District Student Handbook, all assignments must be made up within the number of days missed by the student. (i.e. If a student misses two days, they have two days to make up the work) If the work is not made, the student will receive a zero for that assignment.

VII.  Tardies

Students are expected to be in the classroom by the tardy bell. Those who are not will receive a tardy

VIII.  Class Rules

Students are expected to RESPECT; they should always be Responsible, Efficient, Self-motivated, Punctual, Engaged, Courteous, and Trustworthy. If students are found in violation of these expectations, they will first receive a verbal warning, second they will be removed from the setting that is causing the issue (i.e. move to another desk), the third offense will result in a lunch detention and parents will be called.

IX.  Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO)

For this course, FFA is the appropriate career and technical student organization for providing leadership training and reinforcing specific career and technical skills. Career and Technical Student Organizations provide activities for students as an integral part of the instruction offered. The activities of such organizations are defined as part of the curriculum.
