GYBAFBC (Girls Youth Basketball Assoc. of Fort Bend County) is an official AAU non-profit organization staffed by volunteers that train young athletes who enjoy playing sports at a highly competitive level. Our mission is to provide programs, which will advance individual skills, as well as team skills, endorse good sportsmanship, and encourage team spirit. We believe life lessons start in our homes and neighborhoods and it is echoed through our basketball experience. We establish multi-level programs for our youth to enhance their skills, play with others, and compete with a sense of fair play. We promote amateur sports in the Richmond, Katy and the surrounding Houston Texas areas by sponsoring excellence in all sports on a local and national level. GYBAFBC value and respect the benefits of participation in the game and we bring forward a winning philosophy by focusing on values and to assist in developing athletes spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We believe that amateur sports are an ideal venue to teach attributes such as sportsmanship, discipline, cooperation, competition, self-confidence, and teamwork.
GYBAFBC is an organization that is made up of a Houston area team to compete in sanctioned AAU and Primetime basketball tournaments in the greater Houston area with the intent to compete for nationally sanctioned tournaments that are state and country wide. The team in our organization, Fort Bend Barracudas has operational and financial responsibilities and is actively seeking support from the community.
In accordance with the Internal Revenue Service Code section 501(c) (3), GYBAFBC is recognized as a non-profit organization as described in sections 509 (a) (2). Donors may deduct contributions to GYBAFBC as provided in section 170 of the Code. GYBAFBC Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) will be provided to you.
Our sports seasons are year around and we are requesting help of financial assistance to help purchase the following equipment items for each team; Basketballs, First Aid Kits, Reusable Ice Bags, Ankle Tape, Practice Jerseys, and Jump Ropes. All of these items are necessary and must be purchased in order to help these young athletes prepare for their amazing new year of amateur athletics!
The first date of athletic competition for the Girls Youth Basketball Assoc. of Fort Bend County is March 2014. They will compete in over 8 tournaments with over 40 games throughout the year; with tournaments held locally and nationally.
